The celadon material of good translucency enhanced by deep green and russet suffusion, carved as a standing ‘Guanyin’, depicting the Goddess of Mercy holding lotuses and a pearl, worshipped by an innocent child accompanied by a fairy amongst foliage of lotuses and fish in a stream, embodying the blessings of purity and sereneness, on the well- carved wooden stand, jadeite measuring approximately 182.00 x 141.57 x 45.35 mm, height with stand 26.50 cm (2)
Accompanied by a report from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory, stating that the carving is natural jadeite and no resin is detected, report no. SJ 101816, dated 15th September 2014
