The jadeite carving of light green color and highly glassy translucency, depicting the Laughing Buddha (Maitreya) upright holding a wand and a gourd, signifying benevolence, contentment and serenity, to the well-carved wooden stand embellished with coins, a bat and ‘Lingzhi’ sprays, signifying good fortune, jadeite measuring 146.87 x 66.75 x 31.25 mm, height including stand 23.00 cm (2)
Accompanied by a report from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory, stating that the "Buddha" carving is natural jadeite and no resin is detected, report no. SJ 88577, dated 25th February 2014
