Comprising two jadeite carvings of celadon tone and very good translucency, one as an elderly lady holding a purse and a dragon cane, symbolizing fortune and power, with the other as an elderly man wearing spectacles whilst holding a ‘Ruyi’, a string of sycees and a peach, bearing the rebuses of happiness, prosperity and longevity; accompanied by a carved wooden stand with the symbol of double happiness centering upon the red ribbon backdrop, elderly man measuring 88.26 x 56.20 x 54.11 mm, wooden stand measuring 220.00 x 160.00 x 160.00 mm (3)
Accompanied by a report from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory, stating that the carving is natural jadeite and no resin is detected, report no. SJ 91135, dated 1st April 2014
