Accompanied by a report from the Gübelin Gem Lab, stating that the approximately 13.48 carat natural chrysoberyl is greenish-yellow color, and has no indications of treatment, report no. 17031007, dated 10th March 2017

The transparency of chrysoberyl and its vitreous luster makes it a faceted gem. It is the third toughest stone for jewelry purposes, with the hardness of 8.5 on the Mohs scale, just below ruby, sapphire and diamond. Chrysoberyl deposits are found in Brazil, Madagascar, Burma (Myanmar), Pakistan, Russia, United States, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. Common chrysoberyl occurs in a variety of light and pale colors, while the bright yellow, golden yellow and yellow-green shades being most desirable, and bluish-green are also striking and valuable. Presenting this lot is a good example of strong intense greenish-yellow color of chrysoberyl
