Comprising two jadeite carvings of celadon color suffused with bright green patches and good translucency, one depicting two mice perched atop a corn cob, the leafy stalks and two peanuts finely sculpted, symbolizing the joy of harvest and surpluses, as well as wittiness; the other portraying two joyful children, one crouching over a wine jar with a spider, below him another one happily drinking away next to a stool, symbolizing carefreeness, happiness and contentment, to the fitted wooden stands, carvings measuring 61.12 x 38.36 x 23.96 and 50.92 x 32.61 x 30.91 mm, height with stand 5.00 cm and 6.50 cm (2)
Accompanied by two reports from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory, stating that the two carvings are natural jadeite and no resin is detected, report nos. SJ 88321 & SJ 88322, both dated 20th February 2014
