Comprising a jadeite jar carving of pale greenish-white color and semi-opaqueness, a soaring phoenix with its long, arched tail carved in openwork embracing the jar to the top, its wings with finely incised details curved upwards, oppositely facing a dragon, its body en-coiling the jar, surmounted by the openwork cover enclosing an articulated sphere, symbolizing great fortune and completeness, to the fitted wooden stand; and a jadeite ink washer carving of pale green color and semi-opaqueness, enhanced by the amber surround of the auspicious ‘Chilong’, phoenix, tortoise, snake, tiger and ‘Ruyi’ upon an openwork foliage base, jar measuring 115.00 x 88.33 x 57.65 mm, height with stand approximately 14.00 cm; ink washer measuring 100.48 x 64.87 x 35.01 mm, height with stand approximately 5.50 cm (2)
Accompanied by three reports from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory, stating that the carvings are natural jadeite and no resin is detected, report nos. SJ 88325, SJ 88326 and SJ 88323, all dated 20th February 2014
