Carved as a pair of jadeite figures of light green material with lavender and white suffusion displaying good translucency, depicting two merry children each playfully holding a blossoming lotus flower and its foliage in one hand, the boy and the girl respectively with an ingot and a gourd in the other, bearing the auspicious rebuses of fertility, prosperity and health in twofold, to the wooden stand, largest carving measuring 134.12 x 92.08 x 46.91 mm, carvings with stand measuring 275.00 x 205.00 x 90.00 mm (3)
Accompanied by two reports from the Hong Kong Jade & Stone Laboratory, stating that the carvings are natural jadeite and no resin is detected, report nos. KJ 81676 and KJ 81677, dated 4th September 2013
