Accompanied by two reports from the Gemological Institute of America, stating that the 3.26 and 3.51 carat diamonds are D color and Internally-flawless clarity, report nos. 16910491 and 2131019254 dated 19 May 2011 and 18 May 2011
Also accompanied by two supplemental reports from the Gemological Institute of America stating the 3.26 and 3.51 carat diamonds have been determined to be Type IIa. Type IIa diamonds are the most chemically pure type of diamond and often have exceptional transparency. Type IIa diamonds were first identified as originating from India (particularly the Golconda region). But since have been recovered in all major diamond producing regions of the World.
Among famous gem diamonds, the 530.20 carat Cullinan and the 105.60 carat Koh-i-noor are examples of type IIa
